Summer BayCamp

NEW for 2012: Hours 8:30am – 4:30pm For girls and boys who have completed grades 3-8, Save The Bay’s unique, week-long BayCamp combines the beauty of Narragansett Bay with the fascinating world of marine and aquatic science. (Younger kids can check out our Junior BayCamp.) In BayCamp, your child comes away with a greater understanding of and appreciation for the Bay and its watershed. We create games, crafts and activities that make learning about our natural environment FUN! All campers get a chance to explore the Bay along the shoreline and aboard M/V Swift. Campers visit different islands in Narragansett Bay and explore various shorelines and habitats including: sandy and rocky beaches, salt marshes and eelgrass beds. Shoreline explorations may involve seining, scavenger hunts, netting, swimming, snorkeling and games. BayCamp runs daily from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. There are three scheduled boat days, as well as a canoeing day.
